Everywhere from Houston to Hot Springs, Bruce
Fitzwater
shoots poetry like a pysch-ward mainlining full
moon. His stature is small, his words are his medium,
and he serves it up extra-large. Four out of five doctors agree that the
best way to avoid slapping your head in regret
is not to miss this show. |
Barbara Lightner
grew up in
backcountry Tennessee a long time ago. Now she
lives in Eureka Springs where she writes slam
poetry exhorts to the old woman of me. She rides
her scooter around town to leave local
politicians honeysuckle verses from her head and
her heart.

David Zimmermann’s
brawn with words will infuse your heart with
tenderness while marrying brutal history to your
last blink. What does that mean? It means the
writing is so skillful you'll think he read your
mind. David's second book of poetry, Dissipated
Assets, will be released by Boian Books in
November 2007. |
