Bruce's Better Side  Barbara Pasterized Grade A  Randi tells it as it is!  Doug Shield at the Mic!
Everywhere from Houston to Hot Springs, Bruce Fitzwater shoots poetry like a pysch-ward mainlining full moon. His stature is small, his words are his medium, and he serves it up extra-large. Four out of five doctors agree that the best way to avoid slapping your head in regret is not to miss this show. Barbara Lightner grew up in backcountry Tennessee a long time ago. Now she lives in Eureka Springs where she writes slam poetry exhorts to the old woman of me. She rides her scooter around town to leave local politicians honeysuckle verses from her head and her heart.  Click here to see some of her poetry. Randi M. Romo is a Chicana-Radical-Activist-Passionate-Word Slinging-Art Making-Queer Warrior Woman. Randi is the co-founder and current director of the Center for Artistic Revolution, CAR, a social justice organization dedicated to Fairness Equality for ALL Arkansans  Doug Shields is a writer, a performer, and a teacher. In addition to preaching poetry at hundreds of venues, Doug has also published works as diverse as short stories and standardized test questions. Doug is an odd duck, a black sheep, and a night owl. www.boianbooks.com

Mendy Knott and Friend David Zimmerman
Mendy Knott is a poet, creativity coach, and performance artist. Mendy moved to Fayetteville from Asheville, NC although her family roots are Arkie from the 1800s. Mendy has multiple spoken-word CDs, poetry chapbooks and publications to her credit. Check out her new blog on creativity (soon to be a book) at her site <Click Here>. Mendy and Leigh, her partner of 7 years, live together under the spell of a miniature dachshund named Blue.  David Zimmermann’s brawn with words will infuse your heart with tenderness while marrying brutal history to your last blink. What does that mean? It means the writing is so skillful you'll think he read your mind. David's second book of poetry, Dissipated Assets, will be released by Boian Books in November 2007.
