Pechous has been performing comedy in Chicago and elsewhere from
Kankakee to Vienna. Originally from Iowa City, Pechous moved to
Chicago to study improvisation at Second City, Improv Olympic and
The Annoyance Theater. Her stomping grounds of doing the bits
include being a member of The Second City's National Touring
Company; the Second City Theatricals with their current revue,
Weddings of Mass Destruction; Improv Olympic's house teams: Rockstar
of Siam and Leather and Lace. She was also a founding member of the
all-girl ensemble Sirens. Pechous has performed at The Chicago
Improv Festival, The Chicago Comedy Festival, New York's Toyota
Comedy Festival and Comedy Central's "Comics Come Home" for the
Chris Farley Foundation. The past three years Pechous has hosted and
performed at HRC's; "Laughing Out Loud" at the Park West where her
video shorts; "One Community" and "One Community Divided," debuted.
She headlined her one-woman show, "Frozen Angel," in Dallas and in
Chicago she wrote and performed a successful run of her hit comedy,
"Pushed," with Jim Bennett. As an ensemble member with the
award-winning comedy group, Gayco, Pechous has written and performed
the hit comedy revues, "Better Than Better Than Chocolate" and
"Poked", in which she performed at Comedy Central's Hudson Theater
in Los Angeles. Most recently she voiced George Eckert's latest
animation; "The Clan" and performed with at Second City's Unhinged
with Abby Sher in her two-person critically acclaimed show,
"D.I.R.T." Pechous has also written knock-knock jokes for Dixie
Cups. Look for her in Will Ferrel's movie, "Stranger Than Fiction,"
as Nurse #1!
