THE AUD (historic Auditorium)

Andre Kelley

Andre Kelley is a multi-hyphenate comic-writer-actor and considered one of the most original voices to come on the scene in years. He’s appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, VH1’s Best Week Ever, LOGO’s Wisecrack and Byron Allen’s Comic Unleashed. He's also opened shows for Bill Maher, Margaret Cho, Carrot Top, Sinbad, Mo’Nique and Bill Hicks. A headlining act with Atlantis Cruises, a regular at legendary clubs Laugh Factory, LA Improv and the Ice House, appeared at the Chicago Comedy Festival, Miami Light Project's Come Out Laughing and twice at Michigan’s Gay & Lesbian Comedy Fest. Currently penning his comedy specials Corn-fed, Chick Magnet and The New Black, he’s enjoying crowds straight and gay, due to what he calls the ‘Brokeback Effect.’ Having done over 500 shows in 45 states, audiences nationwide are discovering his broad yet specific appeal. (Comedy Central – Andre Kelley)

Andre likes to say he was rescued from a crashed rocket ship in a Kansas cornfield, adopted and raised in a small town not far from his brother Clark. Actually, he's a corn-fed, beef-eating, milk-drinking, hay-bailing, thicker-than-a-Snicker, country-ass farm boy that Instinct Magazine calls, ‘refreshingly defiant.’ And, he's the only Black comic in the entire country who’s NEVER, ever, ever appeared on B.E.T.!

Voted Nashville, Tennessee’s “Out and About Favorite Band” of 2006, these women will definitely rock the house!  Native to the Boston, Massachusetts area, Jess Leary and Laura Darling now reside in “Music City USA,” Nashville, Tennessee.

Their strength as a writing team is evident on their new CD entitled “Nights at the Lipstick Lounge”, inspired by their many performances at the popular hot spot in Nashville.

Jess and Laura are accomplished musicians, writers and performers.  Leary’s previous songwriting credits include two #1 songs, Tim McGraw’s, “Where The Green Grass Grows” and Pam Tillis’ “Mi Vida Loca” (My Crazy Life).  She also scored a top 10 with Lari White’s “Ready, Willing and Able.”  Leary has toured as a backup vocalist/guitarist with Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks and Faith Hill.  Darling’s talent is endless with her unparalleled ability as a writer, percussionist, vocalist and harmonica player.  Her presence is electric on stage!
