Daniel Helminiak
Ordained in Rome
and long-time chaplain to Dignity in Boston, San Antonio, and Austin, Daniel is
currently Professor of Psychology at the University of West Georgia near
Atlanta. He teaches spirituality as a psychological concern as well as human
sexuality, neuroscience, and statistics. Best know for What the Bible Really
Says about Homosexuality, he has also published Meditation without Myth, Sex and
the Sacred, and, most recently, The Transcended Christian, an elaboration of his
Dignity homilies.

A Roman Catholic priest for twenty-eight years, and now a writer, counselor, and educator, Daniel Helminiak waded through the sometimes dense thicket of scholarship on the bible and homosexuality in order to order to write a book for general readers, “What The Bible Really Says About Homosexuality”
. Helminiak gathers scholarly evidence to argue against biblical literalism and all those who wield the scriptures to condemn homosexuality.
