The show went on and on and on….and oh, how we loved it!

On Saturday November 4, 2006 during FALL Diversity Weekend in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, ANT and Sabrina Matthews flew in from Los Angeles, California to headline Diversity Pride Events’ first ‘LOL Diversity Comedy’ Show and simply awed everyone at the AUD!

Sabrina kicked off the evening delighting the very diverse crowd of GLBTI and straight friends and allies. Both men and women were laughing and nodding their heads in agreement at her hilarious observations of our lives. Her humor was down to earth and true to life, covering everything from skirts, purses, pets, job interviews and of course, love lives. By the time she left the stage, you felt like she was one of your pals.

ANT hit stage in an incredible sparkling flight suit covered with rhinestones, setting the pace for a high energy non-stop ride to hysterical laughter. His jokes had us roaring, and he was at his absolute best ribbing and interacting with the audience. He pulled people up on stage getting them to say and do things that had us falling out of our seats. And even he seemed amazed at the quirky stories he brought out of Eurekans and her visitors. He told us he just had to use some of them during his next performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno (especially the cemetery tale).

Neither the audience nor Ant wanted the evening to end. He told us he rarely goes over time, but was having too much fun too stop. The audience was touched at Ant’s sincerity when he complimented and thanked us for rekindling his joy for performing stand-up.

At the end of the show, with “We Are Family” filling the theater, Ant invited Sabrina to join him on stage for a final bow in unity, and the audience came to their feet hooting and hollering their appreciation to both of them for being with us in the Ozarks. It was Eureka Magic!
